[ QUOTE ] Where exactly was Pizarro playing today? I saw he came in for Ferrera but he always seemed to be in the middle of pitch behind Drogba. I was only half paying attention (ldo) and could not place him in the formation. KJS [/ QUOTE ] He's a striker, so it makes sense that he was playing up front. I haven't seen the game yet, but I'll hopefully watch it tonight and give a better answer. [/ QUOTE ]Looks like SWP went back to the RB position. Looks like Pizarro went to the ST position while Kalou went back to MF (either that or they went to 4-3-3). |

Wigan v Boro, please stab me in the gonad immediately. [/ QUOTE ] Haha. A classic moment on Match of the Day (Best highlights programme ever)was when the camera panned to Mido who was watching the Boro team he is about to join. The look on his face was a picture. The picture said stab me in the bollock what have I done. Boro to go down. |

If Woodgate can get his vagina in order and they keep Yakuba, I think they have enough to stay up, but will likely finish 14th or 15th. They have some decent players spread about, such as Boateng and Downing.

Another thing that should make this season a classic is that there are no really easy to beat teams apart from Boro, Wigan and Spurs.
All the newly promoted teams look well organised disciplined and that they are ready to fight to the death every game. I still think the big 3 Chelsea Pool and Man U will win the majority of their games but I cant see many 5-0 drubbings this season. |

[ QUOTE ] Boro are the new Leeds. [/ QUOTE ] yeah, but leeds were good once. [/ QUOTE ] Boro were once (Circa 1996-2000) one of the most exciting teams to watch for many reasons, they had for a time perhaps the biggest gap between attacking ability and defending prowess I have ever seen. Juninho (sp?)was perhaps the best player in the EPL and most exhilarating player to watch for a time and Ravenneli was no slouch either. The rest of the team were totally [censored] and Emerson was perhaps the funniest player to watch as he was a world beater at international level but was obviously just picking up the cheque at Boro and was a gazillion times lazier than Ballack is now and was so casual he would routinely pass to the other team. There manager Bryan Robson was totally clueless and the whole thing made for excellent theatre. As they would lose games 7-6 on a routine basis (slight exaggeration). Easily the most consistently boring flairless but solid year in year out mid table table mediocrity is Aston Villa. This may be changing as we speak and I think Boro are attempting to win this accolade. So it would be more accurate to say Boro are the new Villa. |
