Anyone know why I cant join open games or accept invites? Just started having this problem a few nights and its [censored] annoying since several of you have tried to invite me to games. The standard Xbox Live support answer to this problem of course didnt work so I'm waiting to hear what they come up with next.

Is your NAT open? This has been known to cause issues w/ parties & matchmaking if not.

[/ QUOTE ]I get that error message, but it never causes problems for me. It just says matchmaking could be slow.

You have to do port forwarding or make your Xbox a DMZ (that's what I did) - if you search on google you'll find some very detailed directions on bungie.net or other forums.

[censored] man, I am horrible with this networking [censored]. Way too much jargon for me. I think I might actually have to buy a new router.

It really isn't that hard - if you just look through your router page for a "DMZ" option and put your Xbox's IP there, you should be fine. You might also need to go into your Xbox and give it a static IP, but that isn't too tough either.

Did you not read the part where I said the standard Xbox Live answer didnt work? [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] Yeah NAT is open, using a compatible router..also keep in mind that this isnt something that has been happening all along. I had no problem accepting invites until about 2 nights ago.
