I don't slowroll because it cuts down on my hourly loss-rate.

Slow rolling isn't about taking your opponent's money, its about taking their dignity.

I don't think I've ever slow rolled anybody, but I could see myself slow rolling a jackass that I know will keep playing me and keep tilting, just hasn't come up yet. |

Re: If you are to be likieng moneez go on everests
Does anyone actually make constant profit at LHE HU at the lower limits like $2/4 at FT or low tables at stars? I tried to play today got in about 100 hands and busted a guy for a $54 profit when he was in for $80 and this was against a very very incompetent player. Last time I tried stars HU LHE I played 16 hands and noticed $6 in rake was already gone at $2/4 and I quit.

Stars max $1 per hand on heads up. Tilt maxes out at .50 + rb.
Beatable or not, it is a bad deal. |

Re: If you are to be likieng moneez go on everests
Silly question: does anybody here play on Full Tilt using one of those really antiquated devices called a modem?
Apparently our in-house wiring is old and poorly done (thanks to the previous Mr. Fixit owner who apparently thought he was an electrician, plumber, phone tech, and pretty much every other sort of contractor under the sun all wrapped in one body), and our DSL fritzes out on a semi-regular basis. We can't switch to a cablemodem because of the same poor wiring issues, and in lieu of paying somebody a boatload of money to rewire the phones, I'm very seriously considering playing poker via modem. Especially since I tilted hardcore last night after losing a game last night where I had a 2400/600 chiplead, purely because my DSL was fritzing, against an opponent who was able to rip 300-400 chips every time I disconnected. I managed that tilt quite successfully, by watching a movie with the family instead of continuing to play, and screaming every time the DSL flickered, but I'd like a better solution than "just don't play when it happens", since it's extremely unpredictable. Had I been 3 tabling $200s instead of $30s last night when it happened, I don't know that I would have mentally survived the ensuing tilt. HOWEVER.... I know from my explorations in packet analysis that Full Tilt is *extremely* bandwidth heavy. They send tons and tons of data all the time. Enough that I'm not 100% positive that a modem could handle it reliably. Anybody stuck in the stone age that can verify Full Tilt is playable over a modem? |

God I have played maybe 100 hands in the last 4 days. [censored] school. Oh yeah, and I partied over the weekend so that does me in as well.
