Langerhans traded to the Nats for Chris Snelling. I think Beane downgraded there. Interesting flip though.

Also, looks like Davies may be DL'ed as well.

Ah, the days when Langerhans for Snelling would have been a much more interesting trade.

Snelling is two years younger. I don't think he can play CF though. Interesting trade. I hope Snelling finally stays healthy. I think its a pretty good trade for Oakland as usual.

Yeah, Yates looked nasty 2 outings in a row.

I don't understand why AJ is swinging like a hack again.

The trade is basically exchanging a known quantity in Langerhans for a slightly volatile player in Snelling. Beane probably needs no more low-risk low-impact outfielders, and is trying to make a move. On the other hand, Bowden needs average players like it's going out of style, so it makes sense for him too.

I don't even have AJ going through his normal swing issues, it's just that he refuses to ever really make an attempt to get a runner over or go the other way, anything to help the team overall.

Guess you were right, Kyle:
"He made one really bad pitch to Howard," Cox said of James, who allowed three earned runs and eight hits in five-plus innings. "I think I might have hit that one out."

Andruw Jones is best when he's trying to pull everything. Don't believ the BS Pendleton feeds everyone. YOu don't want Andruw Jones trying to move the runner over, you want him trying to jack everything out of the park.

I won't be sad at all to see him walk at the end of the year.. much much too streaky for $20M per.
