A great team dominates other teams, they just blow them out of the water. A team that isn't great won't dominate. Just think back to your playground days. Winning in the 2nd half just barely doesn't show character, it shows both teams are equal. Domination shows that one team is better than the other.

This is so very wrong.

Great offenses often win big.
Great defenses often win small.
Both are great.

Pouring on the points against lesser opponents does not make a team great.

Guts and Stomps

It's no coincidence that every accurate predictor of future performance in ANY sport will take into account MOV.

[/ QUOTE ]

Your reference is to NFL, and I won't argue this point for the NFL, where parity is king.

In NCAAF, there is a huge disparity in team skill, a lot of different offensive schemes, plus young kids playing with a lot of emotion, both positive and negative. Plus there are so few relevant interconference games that it is nearly impossible to compare teams.

MOV means something, but it's overrated.

Umm.... No. Great defenses don't win small unless they have crappy offenses backing them up.

[/ QUOTE ]

Shhhh..Don't let this secret out. When OSU wins 28-0, it will surprise him.

I think 28-0 would surprise a lot of people.

Don't confuse me for a Florida fan, but I respect what they've done this year.

My guess is OSU wins 28-14.
