and how does this post help? [/ QUOTE ] It helps by letting you know that you are enabling all the pettiness. You could stop it quickly if you genuinely want to. |

February comments:
1. Neteller news continues to keep traffic strong in Legislation & the Zoo. 2. BBV stabilizes a bit this month, sitting in the top spot, having gone thru a week of Citanul taking over and cleaning up some of the issues that arose. Most notably, BBV raised 30K+ for one of BarryG's Charities, and anyone who hasn't looked at this thread yet, should take a look. Well done BBV, BarryG and LOL Donkaments! 3. BBV4Life traffic more than doubled, moving it into the #5 slot. While SSNL, continues to power forward and looks to want to challenge BBV for the #1 spot. 4. ElD hype propelled it to a fast start at roughly 1,000 posts/day the last few days of January and it spent the majority of this month stabilizing. I expect it will settle in around 250-300 posts/day in March, and build from that strong base. Well done ElD and Crew. 5. OOT down 17% showing some signs of feeling the residual effects of the ElD forum creation, but still holding on strong, despite some concerns that it would take a harder hit. 6. The Lounge drops from the Travel inflated numbers last month, but still up nicely from the 4th Qtr average. 7. POG looks to be back in swing with a 41% increase from last month. 8. The Mid Stakes strategy forums continue to pick up traffic, as the high stakes forums drop. I'm left to wonder if this is a shift to keeping less funds on the poker sites because of the Legislation and Neteller effects. Maybe someone else wants to try to add commentary on this. 9. Other recent forum additions, FRNL and AIW both display very strong growth this month. 10. The Finance and Business forums both continue to build traffic, as more posters look for other ways to put their poker bankrolls to good use. 11. The Mod forum is on fire this month, with ModWars in full swing. I probably get to take some credit for that. Bottom line, sometimes I'm wrong! 12. Based on some work I've been doing with the archives, I should be able to back into some numbers for 4Q05 & 1Q06. Look for those numbers to be added to the spreadsheet. Early estimates put posting traffic in 4Q05 around 8,100+ posts/day. We've certainly grown nicely since then. 13. Finally, there is work going on to prepare the forums for a software upgrade to UUB7. No date has been set and the prep work continues, but this will likely result in the forums being down for a full day. Stay tuned for an announcement on this at an undetermined point in the future. |
