It has the advantage of deciding the victor in the case of a tie. That's enough for me.

Right. I just don't want to make ties more likely by adding a category.

I don't think we'll be messing with the cats. They've provided exceptional balance and allowed for a variety of successful strategies.

Drop 3pt percentage, add +/-, True Shooting % and 3pm.

[/ QUOTE ]

3-point % = direct relationship between team with higher 3p% and team that wins

+/- = completely team dependant, very tenuous relationship between it and what any individual player does for that team. Or did Matt Bonner (-100 two years ago for Toronto while playing very well) become a much bigger player/better contributor this past year (+30 for Spurs despite playing very little and very poorly relative to the prior year's statistics)?

True Shooting % = you serious? The last 3 NBA leaders in this category were Brent Barry, Jake Tsakalidis and Danny Fortson. Carlos Rogers and Jon Barry have also led the league. Two bench guys and three guys who aren't in the league or shouldn't be. How does this relate to winning?

3pm = already discussed above (points already counted, no value or contribution beyond that)

It actually decided the first year championship game.

At least the winning team earned it. In the aforementioned football league, we voted to keep it for the playoffs.

I would just like to say that I hate you all for making the draft on a Sunday.

Yeah I had to represent the Boston Celtics, lame I know but whatever.

And I agree I would much much rather have the draft on a saturday than a sunday. I gotta watch football on sunday.

I've got to work on Sunday AND watch football

And yea, "Boston Celtics" is a horrible team name. Though it does tempt me to change my team to the New York Knicks
