Another great idea: Poker sites can have affiliates
based on getting EXISTING or new customers to "Jump thru the hoops"...Even if they have to give up 50% rake back, they will survive. |

[ QUOTE ] Wholly Rep. Shelley Berkley!!! D-Nevada Nice timing. [/ QUOTE ] Could someone give a brief summary of what Mrs. Berkley is saying? [/ QUOTE ] Summary: "Internet gaming has nothing to do with port security." It's good that she mentioned it, but that's basically all she said. |

[ QUOTE ] Dids, Sites in major nations will most likely take action against US players as some already have like the B2B network. Ones based in Costa Rica or such where all the sports books are based won't. So sites telling us yanks to take a walk is a possibility, even if it is an overreaction on their parts. [/ QUOTE ] It has nothing to do with the fact that the site is in a major nation, those located in other nations are outside of the jurisdiciton of the US. It only matters whether the CEO of the company values his vacation time in America more then making a few extra billion. [/ QUOTE ] It also matters if the country has good relations with the U.S. Once the U.K. regulates online gambling, I seriously doubt any sites based there will continue to allow players from the U.S. Don't get me wrong, I know that there will always be places to play poker online, I just think there are going to be a lot of companies who stop allowing players from the U.S. |

Berkely ripped the partisanship of the repubs for attaching this gaming "ban" to the bill to make their right wing constituents happy. She made a comment about it basically being silly to bother people "playing poker" and "betting on the internet" in he privacy of their own homes. She asked what it possibly had to do with port security.
Then she said she has to vote for it anyway. |

If they erect that fence, I won't be able to cross the border to play poker online.
