Those are all good bands, but I don't get the Rock Plaza Central comps at all.

[ QUOTE ]
got the new interpol disc, nothing new and i don't think it's as good as turn on the bright lights, but for fans looking for new tracks it should make you happy. there are a couple good, catchy tracks on there though. [/ QUOTE ] I'm a pretty big interpol fan, and I am also not overly impressed with this album after giving it a few listens |

I know it has been a while, but does anyone else here like Pulp? Different Class is a great album, and I heartily recommend giving them a listen, if you haven't already.

Re: General Music Discussion Thread (a.k.a. indie lovefest)
after a few more listens, i realized that i was just real excited to hear interpol and the album itself was not that great. a few great tracks like "rest my chemistry" but a lot of boring ones.
the new pornos new record is good, but not great like twin cinema was. i expect this one to get like a 7.5 from pitchfork. i don't know if anyone has heard the new album from white rabbits called fort nightly, but it's very good. sorta like maybe the shins crossed with franz ferdinand... sorta also hudge brag. got to see built to spill live a few weekends ago and it was fantastic. this band is so consistent and are easily my favorite band of the moment. |

St. Vincent - Marry Me is really, really, really good. It might be better than Boxer.

God I hate pimping albums right after they're on Pitchfork but for anyone who likes dancepunk (nu-rave now? [censored] NME i'm not calling it that)
New Young Pony Club - Fantastic Playroom is really good. i would compare it to... newer The Rapture (Echoes more than Out of the Races EP) with a female vocalist. i've been waiting for an album like this for a long time so i'm really excited about this one. |

Have you heard Pieces of the People We Love by The Rapture? It's sick good, but maybe you didn't like it.
Also, Sound of silver is better than I originally thought, but still not my thing. |
