Re: *official 2007 red sox thread*
Does your buddy have a website or are those pics floating around now?
Here is some video of Papelbon, Pedroia, Youk, and Lowell (why does he seem too old to be going out with them? btw...I am almost 30 and just realized that I am not 'young like Papelbon' as I hadn't realized). I don't know if they are in order. bar more bar video even more bar video |

man i like those guys [/ QUOTE ] When I saw BOS play in SD, we were about 5-10 rows behind the BOS pen. There was a foul ball dropped by a fan fairly close by, and Papelbon turned around and booed and held his nose (signaling 'you stink'). Point of story: I think that BOS has a great marketing department, but the way they celebrated after the game Friday and interact with the fans is very good for business (and shows that they aren't total pricks). I am pretty sure some of them were getting drunk that night regardless. Between the time the BOS game ends and the celebrating on the field, was maybe 45 - 60 minutes. That was enough time for them to be as drunk as they were. But it was about 15-25 minutes between NYY loss and them coming onto the field. I think they started 'celebrating the division win' at the top of the 9th. craig |

[/ QUOTE ] Papelbon: "There is no way your wife lets you go out to a bar with us. And you have to tell her. You know me. I will do something dumb and will end up on TV when I have to show Pedroia that when we go out he is Goose and I am Maverick. I am dangerous!!" Lowell: "Hey honey! Yeah, we won the division. I am just going to make sure paps and pedro don't catch AIDS or punch someone in the balls or something." Timlin: "Man Lowell, you are such a Kenny Loggins". |

Re: *official 2007 red sox thread*
Nobody has mentioned it in this thread or the ALDS thread, so I guess that means that I'm the only one who's concerned about Lowell dying his beard and eyebrows at this critical juncture in the season.
Why change anything??? I guess when you're on the national stage at the end of a contract season, you try to make a more youthful impression. (The beard wouldn't have bugged me, but those eyebrows? Yeesh!) |

Re: *official 2007 red sox thread*
wow Papelbon is hammered
Unrelated but funny: a friend of mine saw Keith Foulke in a Boston bar a few years ago after he blew a save. He was lit up, and went over saying "KEEP THE FASTBALL DOWN" and such nonsense. Foulke just nodded and said things like "I'll do better next time," which I thought was really bizzare but also very cool. |
