I really hope the Mets lose it because I don't want them to be the laughingstock of the playoffs. If they were to get into the playoffs and win a single game, that'd be the equivalent to them winning the WS for me.

Willie needs to get canned and they need to dump everybody on the pen (excluding Wagner) and get new players. Kill Mota and dump his body in the East River.

Was exaggerating on the part about Mota. But the rest stands. The Mets need to restructure their entire bullpen and fire Willie.

part of the Mets problem is that they don't have a starting pitcher that can consistently go deep into games. Duque, Perez, and Maine throw a ton of pitches even when they are pitching well. The bullpen has probably been overused as a result.

The Mets (87-72) were ahead by seven games on Sept. 12 with 17 remaining but have lost 10 of their last 14, a monumental tailspin for a team that counted on being in the playoffs. This weekend series against Florida is about one word, SURVIVE.

The bad news, the Mets have 100% SUCKED. The good news is that when they played Florida last week they won 3 of 4.

If they sweep, they'll find a way in. Win two out of three and the best that they can hope for is a chance for a playin game on Monday. Win one out of three and they're done.

Tied for the division, tied for second with two other teams in the WC, one back of the Padres.
