I'm in a keeper league. Because of injuries I'm just fighting to get into the money this year, but have no shot at winning.

I have a trade in place giving up Nathan (who I cannot keep past this year) for Bonderman (who I will be able to keep for three more years at a fairly cheap price).

what's your position like in the categories? Who's in the OF/Util? I'd be all over this deal unless you give me a real compelling reason not to

Need help on a trade.

A lot of the decision on this trade comes from keepers. You may keep 2 players in the top 4 rounds, 2 from the rest of the draft, and 1 rookie.

8X6, R 2B 3B HR RBI K SB AVG, W CG K SV ERA WHIP

C- Mauer (3rd rd)
1b- Pujols (1)
2b- Kendrick (7)
3b- Braun (pickup)
SS- C. Guillen (8)
OF- Holliday (2)
OF- Wells (4)
UT- Granderson (pickup)
UT- Bill Hall/Crisp

Pitchers don't matter in this trade, because I'm not considering keeping anyone besides Lincecum. Keep him in mind...

Right now, I'd keep Pujols and Holliday from the top two rounds. Braun as the rookie keeper, then two others.

The trade is Holliday/Braun for A-Rod.

I'd lose Braun as the rookie keeper, but would now keep Lincecum. I'd have the top two picks in the draft as keepers, which is pretty amazing.

1) Does this help me THIS YEAR?
2) Does this help me in the future?

Obviously being able to keep Pujols/Arod would be a real coup next year, however I really don't see how giving up Holliday/Braun for Arod will help you this year.

I like this deal for you. It's not a massive upgrade at 1b, but unless saves are really tight, you're not losing a whole lot a closer.
