Regardless of how much Figo flopped during that play (the answer is either "a lot" or "he could not have possibly flopped more"), it still should not have been a 2nd yellow. Insane call.

I'm sorry to inform that the ammount of flopping doesn't change the action for which the yellow card was shown.

blabh blabh blabh balh....best.match.ever.

yet again, my final thoughts on this game:
1. i can't help but laugh at how Robben gets literally drop-kicked on the shoulder in the box and a foul isn't called
2. the sequence of events that led to the dismissal/jobbing of the beautiful and talented deco is absurd
3. van bosten, kuyt...wow

the play was stoped at that point (although Nuno Valente could easily get a red card there)

I am still mystified as to why Van Nisterlooy didn't come on. Bye bye Van Basten.

The shot of Deco and the Dutch guy after they were sent off is one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Watching Deco complaining to the dutch guy with the look on his face is great. They are both bitching about ridiculous calls and neither one understands the other.

I don't get why there's so much ref hate. The players played dirty, hence got lots of cards. Is it only the one mistake the ref made at the beginning? There were a lot of other games where refs made much worse mistakes, yet they don't get the same kind of backlash. I hear all the commentary on ESPN complaining about cards and "letting the players play". [censored]. The players know the rules and if they can't follow them then they deserve what they get.
