Re: *official 2007 red sox thread*
[ QUOTE ]
I almost lost my voice yelling French obscenitites at Gagne last night. At first I thought that cheer over the change in the NY/TB score was for Gagne actually throwing a strike. [/ QUOTE ] Can you teach us some of those French obsenities? We might need them for the playoffs. But seriously, the thing that really surprises me about Gagne is that he looks like he gets flustered and loses composure quite easily out there. For a guy with his experience and past success I would have thought he would be more unflappable. |

I want him in, but I'm a Yankees fan. [/ QUOTE ] How about an old geezer matchup? Schill vs Rocket, I wouldn't mind that at all. |

Re: *official 2007 red sox thread*
Red Sock fans,
Please force your team to win the world series this year, because if the Yanks or Phils do I think I might just swear off sports forever. |

From 1975 to about 1980 I was Red Sox fan. Since then a Jays fan (it's a Canadian thing). Anyway, beat them damn Yankees for us.

Re: *official 2007 red sox thread*
from SI article RE: papelbon
[ QUOTE ] Each day, when Papelbon reports to work, he sees Reinhold and estimates the fatigue level of his shoulder on a scale of zero to five, with five being the most tired. Then Reinhold hooks him up to a strength-testing machine that supplements Papelbon's subjective score with an objective measurement of his shoulder strength. A report of the scores is logged along with Papelbon's recent usage patterns and presented to Francona and front-office officials. A summary advisement is included, which might give Francona clearance to use Papelbon aggressively or keep him from using the reliever at all. [/ QUOTE ] LOL, i wonder if torre looks at something simaler? |
