as a life-long cleveland fan, i figure i know what's going to happen tonight..

soooo, i bet a pretty good amount on the red sox. if the tribe wins, [censored] the money, we go to the world series. if cleveland chokes, i'm up monies..

ONE TIME WESTBROOK.

Doesn't this violate some kind of law as a man? Great showing by JohnnyBeef's boy last night.

Yes I am ashamed to admit I emotionally hedged a bet when I bet on the Yankees to come back and win the division.

As long as you don't root against your own team there is no shame in that.

Right, that was my point.. there's nothing wrong with that as you would have happily lost the bet so your team won.

Well, really, the two major problems with betting on the Yankees to win the division is
1) It's horribly -EV.
2) Losing division = OMG <1% less chance to win WS. OH NOES.

i'm surprised to see the line is that high on the red sox, i know the history favors the home team, game 6 winner overwhelmingly here, but i think that line is being pushed way high by all the action on the sox.

can't really use the game-time line as evidence of who is favored..

and of course i'm rooting for the tribe. just hedging a bit of happiness..i won't even think about the money until tomorrow, when i check my account again.

if the tribe wins, i could care less my account's a bit light, as i'll still be floating around.

if boston wins, i'm up monies.

seems like a good deal to me.

I think it opened around -162. Given yesterday's line this line isn't out of whack. The current line of -172 seems a bit high though.
