Oh, so it's okay to be racist once or twice....just as long as he doesn't do it a lot?

[/ QUOTE ]

First, please do not put words in my mouth.
Second, please look up the definition of racism.

Lol. Have you read the Civil Rights Act of 1964? It's tough to find a single piece of legislation that more comprehensively weakened private property rights, freedom of association and freedom of contract.

Oh, and when did discrimination against African Americans end? I must have missed it. I was too distracted by the end of poverty and drug use.

[ QUOTE ]
If he truly is racist, this should show itself in a pattern of racial remarks, policy positions, votes, etc.

[/ QUOTE ]

In 2004, Congress voted on a bill to "Recognize and honor the 40th anniversary of congressional passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and celebrate it's role in eliminating discrimination against African Americans"

It passed the House 414-1

The lone objection was Ron Paul.

First the racially charged quotes, and now this?

[/ QUOTE ]

Ron Paul on the trouble with forced integration

[ QUOTE ]
Are there any links to the actual newsletters?

[/ QUOTE ]

It took some digging, but here is a reprint of the text of the newsletter from a 1993 usenet post: link

Some excerpts:

[ QUOTE ]

Opinion polls consistently show that only about 5%
of blacks have sensible political opinions

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]

We are constantly told that
it is evil to be afraid of black men, but it is hardly irrational.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]

Blacks have "civil riqhts," preferences, set-asides for government
contracts, gerrymandered voting districts, black bureaucracies, black
mayors, black curricula in schools, black beauty contests, black tv shows,
black tv anchors, black scholorships and colleges, hate crime laws, and
public humiliation for anyone who dares question the black agenda.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]

The criminals who terrorize our cities--in riots and on every
non-riot day--are not exclusively young black males, but they largely are.
As children, they are trained to hate whites, to believe that white
oppression is responsible for all black ills, to "fight the power," and to
steal and loot as much money from the white enemy as possible. Anything is
justified against "The Man."

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]

Regardless of what the media tell us, most white Americans are not
going to believe that they are at fault for what blacks have done to cities
across America. The professional blacks may have cowed the elites, but good
sense survives at the grass roots. Many more are going to have difficultly
avoiding the belief that our country is being destroyed by a group of
actual and potential terrorists -- and they can be identified by the color
of their skin. This conclusion may not be entirely fair, but it is, for
many, entirely unavoidable.

[/ QUOTE ]

How in the world can Paul himself defend these quotes as "in context to current events", whether or not his later claim that he didn't write it is even true?

Not to mention, he initially DEFENDED these words as his own!

Wow....just...wow.

Misfire asked for a pattern in the voting record to show Paul's racism....I put up exactly that.

And naturally, you dismiss it.

It hasn't. One need look no further than to Ron Paul to see that.

How on earth can he defend those racist quotes? Explain to me that?

Interpreting Paul's racist quotes for what they are....racist.....that makes me a fascist?

Or, are you labeling me a fascist troll rather than address the reality of Paul's history of racist quotes?

That's like, Ad Hominem 101, isn't it professor?

Have you read Ron Paul's racist newsletter piece?

It's tough to find a more vicious and despicable example of blatant racism from an elected official and Presidential candidate.
