Assume that there is always one fish who pays off when he has a big hand.

The amount he wins from the fish easily outweighs the amounts he might lose because you try to "set-mine" him (unwise, fwiw), or when you successfully shake him off hands post-flop.

There are still enough fish aroung w/o PT.

Maybe you couldn't beat 2/4 this way but you can definately beat .5/1 and 1/2. Not for 5PTBB, but definately for 1-2 PTBB.

Don't bet if you don't want to stack off. Bet/folding == bad.
