As night fell, the columns of orcs marched inexorably forward. A young elvish scout named Zurvan was felled by orcish archers, but the rest of his group made it back to the safety of the gates of Minas Tirith.

With the information the scouts gained from the death of Zurvan, the human and elvish forces guarding the city were able to prevent any further casualties that night.

But the orcish armies continue to advance.
