Re: Question 39
[ QUOTE ]
folding is easy as pie. There's only one draw out there, every possible scare card came, and villain is willing (eager) to felt his hand. He has an ace. [/ QUOTE ] And we've just called the flop and turn, looks like we were drawing to the straight so a bluff is highly unlikely. |

Re: Question 40
I voted that this was a pretty good flop for us. I'd make a c-bet here for sure.

Re: Question 40
it's an excellent flop. what queen is he calling with? kq? maybe jq? most likely he called with a medium ace and we should be good

Re: Question 40

Question 41
5/10 NL cash game. $1,250 stacks. UTG limps for $10. You call in middle position with:
10[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] One more limp on the button, SB completes and BB checks. Flop: 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Blinds check, UTG bets $20 into the $50 pot. You raise to $100. All fold to UTG who calls. Turn is: K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] UTG checks, you bet $200. He calls. River is: Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] UTG checks, you bet $330, UTG check raises all-in for your last $610. The UTG player is quite loose and very passive post-flop. He limps about 40% of his hands and raises about 10% pre-flop. |

Re: Question 41
KK or KQ, so either a boat or quads. I've found a site that has the "correct" answers, some of them were not, and needed tweaking. I can get 148, and I'm still working through it(scored 106, now I'm trying to learn from it). The consensus answers here do well, but some that would seem logically correct, are not so on the test. Further discussion once we are all done. Lets go people, we're almost there!

Re: Question 41
Hmmm, I was looking forward to some discussion on this one, because I have very little clue. I can't imagine anything playing like this except KQ (probably with Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img])
The "very passive" stipulation seems to rule out a bluff, or any other hand that can't beat a flush (even if he bluffs around 10%, we can't call with these odds). I think I lack imagination, but I guess we gotta fold. Who's saying call, and why? |

Re: Question 41
I voted to fold here. I don't think UTG limps with KK pre-flop, but K-Q is likely. so are 3-3 and 4-4. I think those are more likely to come up than something we can beat. I'm not sure what we're hoping to see here by calling. I'd also like to know why people said call.
