haha, I see the Sox as the lesser of 2 evils in the east...and root for their success until the rays get good. i could also tolerate the yankees again if they kept getting younger through their own system instead of overpaying for every single player that comes out.

Here's the way I'm approaching it. I'm completely turned off with respect to the Sox right now. If they win the division, great. If they don't, then they'll just be in the playoffs without homefield advantage. Once the playoffs start, I'll jump right back into it, but I refuse to let them tilt me right now.

I'd consider making the bet with you if it's the former, mostly for emotional hedge reasons, and I'm not entirely sure they're 67% to win the division right now.

And I do see that BP has them at 82% to win the division, but the Yankees are playing far better than their 3rd order WP. I'm really tempted to take this bet. I'll PM you before the game starts tonight. betting against your team is just pathetic, but I'm a Sox fan, I'm pathetic by nature.
