So you don't know then?

[/ QUOTE ]

As I said, the ability to change the state with the given rights and powers at your disposal, I never said anything about guaranteed success - that was your implication. Are you going to continue with the rhetorics long?

[/ QUOTE ]

So if I invade your house, hold you at gunpoint, but then give you "the ability to change" this state of affairs, by giving you the option to move to siberia, or (for example) letting you take a shot at Mike Tyson in the ring, then it's legitimate? You don't have any guarantee of success, but you have the ABILITY to CHANGE things AND the ability to avoid this situation altogether! If you fail, you probably didn't really want to change anything - you "tacitly consent."

[/ QUOTE ]

Ok you win, I'm no match for Mike Tyson, I was hoping to fight the hot dog salesman.

td, if you're tied with Tyson late in the 4th quarter, just go for the two point conversion!

Obtaining the means to personally defend and fight for one's life, family, and liberty is probably the most self-evident human right in existence. The state-supported branding "mentally insane" of those who understand this is almost the definition of an illegitimate state. And the supporters of this kind of policy, cowards.

After reading this thread, I'm quite positive MidGe couldn't pass his own sanity test.

And you are correct. Freedom comes out the barrel of a gun. There is a reason every evil dictator in the past century went to great lengths to disarm his countrymen.

Legitimately, much more so than any individual property rights, since ultimately they all devolve from the government!

[/ QUOTE ]

Could you please clarify if you truly believe this or if you are trolling?

Judging by his past thousands of posts, he truly believes it. All Midge's fundamental rights to life, property, etc. exist merely because his government leaders have seen fit to allow it. Lucky him.
