If I lived in LA, from what I understand I have no doubt I could nail at least a 7 at will any night of the week. Is there a will to do so? not really. Once you get passed a certain point with this kind of stuff, its not hard to go home with whomever you choose for the night, its just that in most peoples cases there just arent enough hot chicks out there to go around. I think there is a huge difference between being a PUA, and being good at picking up chicks. I think your over exaggerating how much being "good looking" helps in picking up girls. And i would say I'm a pretty good looking guy, many guys always assume that because i'm tall and easy to look at that i just have to walk up to a girl and it's game over... lol. No, being good looking only gets you in the door, you still have to make a girl feel like she's connecting with you and is comfortable around you and trusts you, to make any real progress. Also many young girls don't like standard good looking guys as much as they like guys with unusual hair/hats and tattoos and piercings the wannabe rockstar look... If you go out much in la you'll soon understand this very well.

In st louis, and Id bet in most cities (even ny etc), they def would rather have teh good looking guy rather than the tat and peircings, at least the really hot stylish ones. LA is like a whole different world though. And no, I def realize that being able to know the cues of how to pick up a girl is important, a good looking guy who knows what he is doing is going to have an easier time than a PUA obv. Usually good looking guys develop this stuff much more naturally though, than having to read.

There is very limited stuff for that. That realm still belongs to "self-improvement relationships" generally rather than a specific grouping of self-improvement. No pick up guys really try to teach this (some of the mysterymethod.com guys are maybekinda starting to).

What Mystery's method specifically *does* do is try to get guys to a spot where they have the confidence and competence to go talk to women they are interested in, attract them, build rapport with them, and enter into a sexual relationship with them.

This is not disagreeing. This is me saying that I do not believe it works in the way you (and he) describe it. His method generates a high level of interest early he himself is incapable of maintaining, thus doing nothing more than creating a series of short term, rollercoaster-ish relationships.

I don't think you can look at Mystery himself to see if his methods are capable of sustaining a healthy relationship. He was suicidal at multiple points in the book, he was pretty clearly an emotional mess who cared more about picking up women than about himself. Just because he himself lacks the depth to enter into a real relationship doesn't mean that it's impossible any more so than it takes a world class athlete to be a coach.
