The NFL suspended Ricky Manning for 1 game today for his assault charge. The incident happened in April, and he pleaded no contest back in September.

Great [censored] timing NFL, lets suspend him before the NE game.

They couldn't do this sooner?

I'm Pissed.

I don't get why they do it at all. It's his private life. Some of the rules in professional sports irritate the [censored] out of me.

So they punish the fans by not letting them play? Make them do community service or something.

Grossman now has 14 turnovers in the past six weeks. I've never ever said this before, but I've lost faith. Anyone can put up huge numbers against the NFC North. But his numbers against good defenses are telling.

Against the Cards he made poor decisions. But today he just made bad throws. You can learn to overcome poor decisions relatively quickly, but learning to be a quarterback with better mechanics can't be done by the playoffs in my opinion. He's consistently throwing inaccurately, off his back foot, and not protecting the ball in the pocket. It was painfully obvious that even the few passes he completed today were behind the receiver or just generally a good effort by the receiver. Mechanics take a long time to relearn.

Grossman has more talent than Orton, but he's doing a much poorer job of managing the game. At least Orton seemed to understand his limitations.

Feels weird saying this, but I'm ready for Griese. I'd like to have him in for a few games before the playoffs come around.

don't get too down

the Bears just went 2-1 on a 3 game stretch of @ Giants, @ Jets, and @ Patriots. That is pretty good.

I've been saying Griese over Grossman for a long time, but I think the difference is minimal.

As unimpressed with Grossman as I was today, I can't see how you could possibly think Griese is the answer.
