The best feature of your hand is that another spade draw is likely.

This isn't something where you yell "Bingo!" and then it turns out you don't have bingo after all, and what are the rules again? This isn't that, my friend.

You think there is no value in pushing this and picking up the pot? Immediate monetary value as well as the aggressive image for later?

[ QUOTE ]
I hope you got looked up by an Ah flush or something.

[/ QUOTE ]

There is a much better chance I get stacked by A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] flush by just calling. I can push out the nut flush draw with an arrin.

[/ QUOTE ]

I still dont like the play but this is excellent point regarding the play of flush draws. I'm much more willing to make big raises into smaller pots (not as extreme as in his case though) with non nut flush flush draws. With nut flush draws, I'm more likely to pass on the opportunity to apply pressure and take it down immediately if: a donk may come along/other flush draw may be out.

Why do people keep trying to make unknowns at $1/$2 fold pairs? You get his entire stack in the pot if the flush comes anyway just play 90% straightfoward at this limit. Sure your play is fantastic for metagame, unfortunatly that only helps if your opponents are paying any attention, which in this case they are not.

[/ QUOTE ]

I rarely find top pair getting it allin when the flush makes.
