Back when it was a start up they raked the standard 5 percent and had poor game selection and literally every player on the site was the equivelent of the live donating housewife losing her husbands paycheque. Yes I do know that 6 to the flop is strange poker, I mastered it but it's also frustrating at times(alot more than tighter games).

the site i most often play at is pacific poker simply because of the horrible players. they've recently introduced multi-tabling and i disagree with everyone's idea that it turned the place tighter. it seems it turned a lot looser.

i remember i won 13k playing 2/4 limit in 10 hours. no joke. people will continually call you down with middle pair and no other draw, just to keep you honest. some people will continually bluff at low stakes limit.

it makes for very frustrating and very profitable poker. i first started there and still play there regularly. i highly recommend it.

Its a rock garden with super high rake. Its not worth playing on. I don't mind the software though.

I played a about a thousand hands of NL $1/2 up through $3/6 and I didn't think the games were any better than Party. Perhaps it was the lack of table selection.

Getting PT to work was a bit of a hassle since you have to use a separate HandGrabber program (costs $15) to get the hand histories. PA HUD also isn't compatible with Pacific, so you're forced to use GameTime+.

It just wasn't worth it for me.

Did anyone else notice the 13K in 10 hour reply? Am I the only one that sees that as laughing out loud funny? By the way I agree it has tightened up a great deal since the multi-tabling took effect, very unfortunate that their greed had to ruin the site.

I remember the days when 3/6 and 5/10 full ring played like microlimits.
