300BB stacks UTG raises to 6BB you reraise to 20BB UTG pushes im folding KK to everyone but a maniac [/ QUOTE ] I witnessed something very similar recently UTG raises to 2bbs five callers button raises to 20bbs UTG shoves for 500bbs (one or more of the CC'ers had him covered) everyone folds button tanks for about five mins and donks off 350bbs (lol) incredibly obvious AA/KK matchup there and a pretty bad call by button IMHO |

[ QUOTE ] What limits do you play? [/ QUOTE ] Mostly a 1/2NL home game. A majority of the players I play against would hold a range of {QQ+} or wider here, so I call against a majority of players, making this my default play. If this is your first hand at a B&M 1/2NL table, what do you do? Does it change at different stakes? [/ QUOTE ] It definitely changes the higher up you go. As you increase in limits, some players will be trickier, but many will simply be honest(especially live). I see people call all in a fair amount with holdings worse than KK - but I rarely see people pushing with worse. Players in general tend to err on the side of passivity - and will call with far more hands than they will raise with in many situations. -James |

DID MATT DAMON LAY DOWN KINGS PRE-FLOP AGAINST TEDDY?
Huh, I didn't think so. |

If you're consistent, and just say that you won't ever fold them (preflop) regardless of circumstance, isn't it +EV? I admit, and it's due to my intentionally playing against bad players, that I've called all ins sure I was behind and discovered they had QQ, JJ, and even AJ offsuit. I think it depends on the NL level.

You have enough evidence to deduce that in this spot, your kings are at best up against the other two kings. You can't just say that you'll always push kings. Even AA vs five random, unpaired/paired hands is -EV |
