Re: Story of a mid-pair
Providing we can fold to a raise, what about donking the turn to make sure it doesn't get checked through?
FWIW I don't mind checking the flop. It would be totally sweet if a LP player bet and we could raise his ass. With this many players I don't think the flop is getting checked through very often and if we bet everybody is going to call getting such ridiculous odds. |

You're going to call here you might as well be the aggressor and bet. |

Re: Story of a mid-pair
I bet the flop & bet the turn. If you are raised on either, call and fold unimproved on the next street.

Re: Story of a mid-pair
:grunch:
In a table like that, I would have just called with 99 on utg. Flop should be bet as you have overpair.. As should the turn. River fold looks fine to me. |

Re: Story of a mid-pair
Thanks for the info guys.
Next time I will: Bet the flop: Even though they're getting terrfic odds, it's better than a freeroll as indeed two players did fold. Lead the turn: If I led and was re-raised the button would be forced to call two cold with overcards. Check/call the river if dangerous: If the three flush hits or an A,K i've propably been outdrawn. Cheers, Li. |

GRUNCH
I would raise on the flop, the pf raiser wont always raise with a pp, he could have high pair or overcards. I would raise then reraise if need be, maybe saving yourself some bets later. I cant understand checking the flop, you give someone with overcards a free card. |
