Unless you are running on a small screen (like 1024x768), multi-tabling is usually not an issue.

how about something that just monitors your tables and makes note(in your party notes) of abnormal plays?

[/ QUOTE ]
This would be very cool too, but I have no idea how it could be done? What "looks like" an abnormal play (out of context), may actually be somebody taking advantage of another player's weaknesses?

The thing I would really like, is something that auto-spotted tilting/maniacal players and super passives. Both cause me problems:

(1) Sometimes multitabling I fold to a tilting/maniacal player (thinking he is playing "sane" poker!) only to see a few hands later what a crazy he really is (when I have more attention focused at the table).

(2) Super passive players (especially TPA) catch me out badly sometimes, and if it could spot the dude who just limped with JJ or called down to the river with TPTK then I would be able to more rapidly adapt to their "super passive" style... It takes quite along time for the stats to show a playing style like this (again TPA...), but only 1 or 2 observations and you can put them in the "super-passive" category.

Exactly! You don't need 30,000 samples to pigeon-hole a player. Instead you do what the pros do: you define a standard behavior and then adjust your play based on how players deviate from that behavior:

- raising hands not raised (like your JJ example)
- calling 2 bets with dominated hands
- re-raising with non-standard hands
- etc, etc.

As you correctly point out: what happens if the other player was taking advantage of someone else’s weakness? Then it wasn't a boneheaded play after all, but an advanced play. The key is to notice all the significant plays so you can determine how each of your opponents play. Then, you have the proper knowledge to adjust your play accordingly.

This, among other things is what our software does for you.

Hey, I won't deny that I'm actually very interested in this!

Most about 99.9% of the spam on this forum doesn't interest me at all, but your idea does and I think it shows a huge potential for helping multi-tablers like myself. I miss out on the exact info this would pickup for me by playing the extra tables.

Sadly, my problem is that I am 6-tabling 6max on a 1024x768 monitor and can't see any easy way to get everything working in harmony (anything which takes up extra space and isn't a HUD is a killer for me...).

It is permitted at all poker rooms we support. Even at Party Poker where we currently have a promotion hosted *ON* the Party Poker site.

When I was starting out I used Poker Spy, it was a very good program and helped me quite a bit, Thank you.

However, I DID receive a message from Party sometime around the middle of last year stating that PokerSpy was not allowed to be used at their site, and that if I continued to use it I would be banned.

So, I would be careful about saying it is allowed at Party.

[/ QUOTE ]Wow. Do you still have this email? PokerSpy, can you provide documentation that the program is allowed? I'd definitely like this issue settled.
