Hey Another Sankey fan. I was into magic before I started poker, I might get back to it for a change. The bankroll down swing I'm currently in is starting to get to me, I need a break.

Hey, he's a physics guy. There won't be any Regis type of charm there.

I just ordered mine. It said two to four weeks but I think they'll be here quicker.

Does anyone know if you can purchase products directly from ConJelCo's Pittsburgh location? I go to school at CMU and would prefer to just go buy them without having them shipped. Thanks in advance.

Didn't see a repsonse to this - anyway, no you can't purchase directly from them. I also went to CMU and was back in Pittsburgh a few weeks ago and contacted them about heading over there. Apparently their warehouse isn't located here, so they don't have the stuff actually in Pittsburgh.

I'm used to watching Jay Sankey videos that he filmed himself in his kitchen, so I'm sure the production quality of Ed's DVDs will be awesome by comparison.

I was thinking about getting a Jay Sanky DVD. Which one would you recommend.

BTW, do you have any of the David Williamson DVD's. They are all pretty good. I was friends with Dave many years ago in Washington, D.C. (before he was magician of the year and all). Great guy and great magician.

I would very strongly recommend Sankey-tized I and Sankey-tized II. Those are his two best, IMO. If you do coins, his Revolutionary Coin Magic is also great.

I've also got 1999, Sankey Very Much, 45, and 3-Ring Circus, which I'd rank in that order. 1999 and Sankey Very Much both have some very cool ideas in them, but they are (by Sankey's admission) kind of half-baked, half-developed. These are also the videos I had in mind when I used Sankey as an example of amateur production quality. I think it's fine -- kind of endearing -- but they are filmed from a single camera angle in what appears to be Jay's kitchen. You can't beat his creativity, though.

I don't, but I've heard nothing but extreme praise for "Magic Farm" and "Sleight of Dave."

Got the videos today. Ed's an excellent public speaker and the format of the video's graphics make it easy to follow along with his thought process. I haven't gained anything new from what I have seen so far, but thats not why I made the purchase.

As usual Ed doesn't disappoint. In fact he keeps getting better.
