98% of the time, if a decent player or passive player is willing to push all his chips (and he has a decent size stack), I find it's either KK or AAl...and ur gonna be on one of those ends. Very few have the balls with QQ, JJ.
I made a laydown deepstacked like this yesterday. Villain raise to 9 (1/2NL), SB calls, i reraise to 40, villain pushes about $350 mroe, I fold (I had about 280 left). Villain claims it was AA, I believe him. |

I folded AA once because I thought the guy had the other AA and I didn't want the rake to win.

Anyone ever fold AA on the bubble at a tourney or close to the end? I'd love to hear about it.

Nice Job Dom. Everyone talks about odds blah blah blah but there are times where what makes sense on paper doesn't make sense in real life. I've made some big laydowns that just seemed so normal because of the opponent. Here's the real question, would you have folded this online? [/ QUOTE ] never. Like I said, I have never even contemplated folding this pre-flop before...but it was just so obvious what this kid had. He was a rock 99% of the time, then he pushes for his whole stack? What else could he have? |

[ QUOTE ] I layed down KK pre-flop today [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] 1/2 NL [/ QUOTE ] lol [/ QUOTE ] yes, 1/2 NL...100 min/300 max... I had built my stack up to $850...the villain had $400. Is there something amusing abou this? I'm not playing high enough games to make this interesting for you? |

Making this laydown is standard. Showing it is penis wagging and could make you a target later by encouraging people to bluff at you. So, good laydown, but next time, keep it to yourself at the table. Just my take. Jeff [/ QUOTE ] If I was playing a higher game, I agree with you. All it did to this table was make people respect my raises more. |
