Not sure how long the levels last, but it doesn't exactly seem like a good structure to me, even with 5 prelim. matches per player. I'd like to hear what some of the players think about it. The double-elim. semi-finals are better, because single-elim. 4-handed in PS2 was pretty ridiculous. At least now you'll have to lose TWO 60-40 situations.

I also thought Lederer made an excellent point about guys like Ferguson and Hellmuth being at a disadvantage. I'm interested to see how well they do here.

Esfandiari knocked out all 5 other players.

I thought Jennifer Titties, I mean Tilly, did pretty well tonight.

I know they filmed this all during a few weeks in November. I always wondered how they did it, even with PS2 in Morongo. Do they film all the preliminary matches in one week and have the playoffs the next? Its a good way how they can spread the tournament out over several months on air.

Well he jumped out to an early chip lead when he raised with AA on the button and Hachem moved all in for a resteal with Q9s. The rest of the game he pretty much just called other people's all in bets with the worst hand and won the 40/60s.

Cyndy all in with A7o, he calls with QTo and catches a Q.
Carlos all in with A5o, he calls with QTo and catches a Q.
Pushes Mimi all in with Q4o, she calls with K8, he catches a Q.
Seeing a pattern here?
And finally, he knocks Tilly out with 89o vs her QTo when he catches an 8.

There really is only the tiniest bit of actual play involved with these prelims. 19 more weeks of luckbox action coming up!

No kidding. Nothing is more boring than watching all the chips get in the middle preflop and watching the dealer slowly turn over the board. This is an hour of staring at a coin being flipped.

We get to listen to Chris Rose say "No help for Carlos; he needs a King or a Ten.... King or a Ten... the turn didn't help, he still needs a King or a Ten... Aaaaand he's out in 4th place."
