Shoving the flop sucks. You'll get called by sets/straights, and some of the higher 2 pairs, maybe other 2 pairs. Betting $50 into a $4 pot is IMO never the most optimal play.



I'm not positive we get his stack on the river after hitting. It will be pretty obvious. If we were IP it'd be better since he might bet and if he doesn't we can. However, if we call and hit on the river then we have to shove it and he very well could fold there.


Like I said calling might be better but I think it's close. And I probably shove because w/e...it's good for the image....and if he's ever doing something weird or trying some kinda crazy bluff then shoving is easily +ev.
