Just wondering, which do you think would be better for all involved 10% rake $4 max or 5% rake with $5-$6 max?

I've never thought much about percentage rakes with a cap since this is clearly illegal in California (and I have no plans to move).

The first thing I'd ask though is what size and type of game are you talking about in your question above?

State law is that the house can not profit by interest in a game. They consider a percentage rake having an interest.

FYI, All blackjack/ paigow (california games) the house charges a fee per hand. Either a player or a third party corporation handles the banking aspect of these games.
