AK4 is not great because he will NEVER fold an ace, prob not a king.
The turn is even worse, because now he never folds anything.
If you really want to win the pot you could try raising the flop.

I thought floating was superior to raising the flop as it gives me the additional information of him checking to me, for the same price?

Nah, everyone floats and everyone knows it, so people will two barrel. Bluff raising can be cheaper alot. This hand should have been folded pre btw. There is no reason to plat these FPS games. Just play solid poker and bad regs will just float their stacks away to you.
