Default AT - I 3-bet a lagtard and flop TPMK

Full Tilt Poker, $0.50/$1 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players
LegoPoker Hand History Converter

UTG: $98
MP: $111.70
CO: $132.20
BTN: $117.70
Hero (SB): $97.50
BB: $81

Pre-Flop: A T dealt to Hero (SB)
3 folds, BTN raises to $3.50, Hero raises to $13, BB folds, BTN calls $9.50

Flop: ($27) 3 8 A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $20, Hero calls $20

Turn: ($67) K (2 Players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $65, Hero calls $64.50 and is All-In

Villain is a bad lagtard, running at like 43/27. The sample size isnt enough to get decent AF but hes been aggro. Does anyone like this line, or should I be folding the turn? I think that against this player once I flop TP, I have no choice but to stack off, but I could be persuaded.

Also, what is optimal preflop? I hate folding and coldcalling, but I also hate building such a big pot with ATo.

Against most I fold the turn; I like your PF line.

Against a lagtard, I find a lot of calls. Actually I wouldn't be getting in to this spot by calling the flop against a lagtard unless I wanted to get all in on a non-completing turn. Normally I'd want to do the betting on the turn, but a lagtard can easily press with garbage here.

I definitely play it like this if I 3-bet preflop. He can go crazy with Kxcc on turn, and if he has AJ+ I think it's a cooler with all the hands in his range.

Played perfect imo. Leading flop is not bad either..ace high flops tend to trigger alot of bluffshoves from these type of players in my experience.

The lighter 3 bets get so much value from the villan folding pf, and with this guy it probably doesn't happen much.

I guess what i'm saying is i'd much rather 3 bet a 25/20 here than a 43/27, does anyone else feel this way?

the 3-bet is largely for value in this situation. this guy isnt the same as other players where if i 3-bet him, hes folding everything but AQ+ and pocket pairs.

I see what you are saying. Both people are good to 3 bet vs. but what is more important is their likelyhood that they will call down with any pair. Their calling habits are much more important IMO
