Re: overbet wtf
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] bet flop. [/ QUOTE ] He obviously didn't want to donk bet, and assumed UTG would bet a good amount of the time. Flop is fine. I like a b/f on river so much more than checking like fees said. [/ QUOTE ] flop is not very good. action killers on turn. |

Re: overbet wtf
he prob bets spades and def other big hands on a checked through flop. To me, it seems like a small overbet like that is just trying to represent the flush and he could be turning some weak pair hands into bluffs (this is logical btw because even though he mightve called the turn expecting to be ahead, it would still be profitable to bluff off a part of ur range that beats him on such a scary card). I think kq, qj and j9s take this line a decent amount of the time.

Re: overbet wtf
making such a small overbet just seems to be trying to really represent strength. I would prob b/f the river though instead of c/c, cause i def dont think he raises a bet on the river as a bluff very often with that river

Re: overbet wtf
bet flop. a strong ace will raise here most of the time because the board is pretty drawy and you can get it in on the flop. also, turn can bring a lot of cards that either kill your hand or kill the action (say the turn is a spade or a J, now your left in a situation where any bet puts you in awkward situations). as played though, A10 is almost AK here but not quite and it boils down to current table dynamics. i wouldn't hate either calling or folding here.

Re: overbet wtf
[ QUOTE ]
Does he have KQss every time? [/ QUOTE ] No. Folding PF seems super nitty to me, freak. A pretty good suited Ace three way with good relative position has got to be a profitable spot here. Your top pair hands will be tricky, but such is life. I guess I can see folding weaker suited aces, but I'd probably call those too. Flop is fine. Leading is ok, but you get a free cbet most of the time if you check, and a guy in the middle, so that's pretty nice. It depends a bit on your history with that play, and observed plays. Some guys will raise that flop bet most times, but this being a 3 way pot, I think a lead will look pretty strong for most players. Betting the river is far superior to checking. His most likely hands are a weak ace or a pair worse than an A, with a flush far behind. If he raises, you can probably fold comfortably. |
