I don't think the cards matter much in this spot. I'm looking at the situation. Hero is down to less than 7xBB, and 4 handed the blinds are coming around way too quickly for him to sit for a premium hand.

He's on the button, it's been folded to him. Big Blind is willing to fold a lot of hands in this spot. The only guy you have to worry about is the Small Blind. SB has plenty of chips and doesn't need to risk losing them in this spot with a marginal hand, especially because he's pwning the bubble every chance he can get. Take the chance, if he calls and you have 2 live cards, you should be getting good enough odds here.
