[/ QUOTE ] When SF Chronicle nominated and submitted the authors enitre body of work to the Pulitzer committee for review and possible prize consideration, it never made it beyond the initial jury stage to the Pulitzer committee. Their work was deemed by the jury to be "based upon unsubstantiated and uncorroborated evidence and was therefore not able to be viewed as factual. Oops.... Not to mention to several instances of allegations made in the book attributed to sources that were later recanted or denied as even being made by the sources cited.

According to reports, terms of the deal have her agreeing to serve 3 months in jail, rather than the potential max of 5 years for lying to federal investigators. Also, did anyone else find it a bit odd that news of her indictment was never released? How in the world were they able to keep that such a secret? Oh..that's right, because she doesn't have 762 homeruns.
