I'd tend to agree that it seems obvious that OP is tackling programming questions from the wrong end, -- but I'm willing to play along and to try and answer the questions even while suspecting such answers aren't terribly useful.

Do you guys have any good programming references online? I've read madcow's entire site before, but would like to know more. Also, if you knowledgeable guys could start a programming thread or something that would be awesome.

Can't really help. I do the most minimal of my own programming. Mostly I just rip other's stuff and use it.
