On his right shoulder with your right hand? So either:

- You reached across your body with right arm and patted him weirdly if he was standing to the left of you.

OR

- You put your right arm around his back in a pseudo-hug to reach his right shoulder in a creepy way if he was standing to the right of you.

Either way, he probably thinks you like him now. Congratulations.

It's only a douche move if you hit his left shoulder. Or if you use your left hand. But not both, because then the whole double negative thing comes into play and they cancel each other out.
