Re: Sluss\'s 2007 AFC Rankings (Week 4)
[ QUOTE ]
The Broncos played really well this week and played the Colts just as tough if not tougher than the Titans did. They were also missing their # 1 WR. [/ QUOTE ] As a Colts fan who watched both games, this statement is laughable IMO. Denver's red zone offense isn't nearly as much of a problem as the 216 yards on 29 carries we got from Addai and Kenton Keith. I'd be shocked if Denver finishes the year with more wins than Tennessee. The Chargers seem too high but I don't think any of the teams below them are that amazing. Probably the Texans are better than them. |

Often the Colts just won't run 29 times. If Peyton threw for 300 yards as well you would be right. Trying to stop the Colts running game with two linebackers in a nickle at all times was not a great choice, but it's a pick your poison spot. |

As a Jet fan, it disheartens me to say this, but Jets have to be below Browns. The Jets are better then Fins/Bills, but the Browns would spank them as of right now.

John Lynch was also out for the game. Broncos run defense already sucks but without Lynch its terrible.

Re: Sluss\'s 2007 AFC Rankings (Week 4)
Sluss - I'm used to seeing a lot of 7 yard carries against nickel coverage. I'm not used to seeing the Colts routinely get 10+ yards on the ground because the linebackers are in nickel coverage and they still miss the tackle anyway because they suck. Denver's defense played horribly in that game, even considering whom they were up against.

Tennessee played the Colts much tougher than Denver. I don't think anyone who watched both games would dispute that.

I think people really want Denver and San Diego to be really good this year.

I think you could put 4-9 in any order and I wouldn't have a big problem

Re: Sluss\'s 2007 AFC Rankings (Week 4)
Excluding New England and Indy, is the AFC *really* that much better then the NFC ?
Who wins these neutral site matchups: Detroit vs Baltimore Washington vs Kansas Carolina vs Titans Arizona vs San Diego San Fran vs Jax I just don't see the bulk of overall NFC teams being better. I agree that the very top 2 teams are obviously in their own class. |
