I am winning player at $25NL, however, I am a losing player at $10NL. I can't explain it, except that $10 seems like not an important amount of money and so I play a little looser and wilder at $10NL. $25 seems like a more significant amount of money than $10, so I play better. Also, there seem to be more idiots at $25NL than $10NL, I think for the same reason. When you go to an ATM and take out $, you don't get $10s, you get $20s. Maybe that has something to do with it.

Beating 2NL is easy. Play tight, then play tighter, and value bet 100% of the time you have a hand, and fold when you don't.
The only way to lose 2NL is fancy play syndrome. |

[ QUOTE ]
The only way to lose 2NL is fancy play syndrome. [/ QUOTE ] After breaking even or losing slightly at 2NL for a couple months I was extremely frustrated but I finally realized this was the problem. Too much semi-bluffing, going too far with marginal hands in limped pots, getting tilted and calling too many min-raises with top pair, these were my main problems. I went from 25% VP$IP to about 20% and started playing more straightforwardly and I started winning consistently, enough so that another month or two later and i've accumulated enough to start playing .02/.05. Apologies for almost-strategy in BBV. This is not intended as a brag :P |

Trust me 100% 2NL is a walk in the park compared to 25NL. I used to have that insane kind of logic when I was break even at 2NL. Improve your game and you will destroy 2NL like I did (only a couple of months ago). [/ QUOTE ] this is not true, no one respects your raises at NL2 |
