I think its a situation on the river where many people slow down and do a check/call but against this opponent he has a flush maybe 1% of the time as the most likely holding he can have preflop is KQs and that hit the straight on the turn. He didn't bet it so he missed that.

I bet/3 bet this river.

While its possible villain will bet a check to him, its unlikely he will, so a check/raise is out of the question here.

Ans 1: Since you mentioned he's aggro, I would say likely you have the best hand on the flop. Even if he 3 bets, I'd call, and look at the turn. Given he raised preflop, and assume he 3 bets the flop, I would give his range of AQ+. AK is a more plausible hand. I would call bet the turn, and check to induce a bluff for him to raise. then I'll call.

Ans 2: Given he's overly aggro, and I think the Ace might have helped him, but my two pair would likely be the best hand. KQ is a concern here, hence I would check/call on the river.

Ans 3: Leak? I can't figure out. I need to learn more

Most of the time his advice is solid and the reasoning is fine. A few times he says silly things. For example (Hand 10)we have Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] in the SB. BB raised pf and it's 6 handed pot. Flop is Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

Byron suggest bet because the aggro BB will probaly raise and force everyone out. If u check (intending to CR) 'it will be hard to know where you stand'.

Retarded reasoning IMO.

[/ QUOTE ]

How come you think it's retarded reasoning? I thought you should do this to chase any flush chasers out?

no one is folding a flush draw, and they shouldnt anyway.

the only people you are chasing out are those drawing near dead, and you dont want them out.

Q1:Byron suggests cap. Me and everone else here wants to call down. Byron puts Dimitri on:
AK-AT, KQ-KJ, AA-TT after he 3-bets (JT is excluded because of pf).
And agaisnt that range cap/lead non K,Q is fine. Especially it's important that we lead the turn if he holds AK-AQ. I guess I don't face these aggro TAGs that often in my game.

Q2: As many have said the best line is bet/3-bet. We are almost never behind and that A hits his range good. Like some said a CR may be better depending on how aggro he will play AK-AQ, wether he will raise a river bet or not.
Sushi: bet/call

Q3: Sushi is not getting full value from his good hands agaisnt aggro opps. I tend to shut down too early. I think I play my cards too much in these spots.

Its not always easy knowing when to ease up against aggro opps Sushi, because sometimes they will have a good hand and have you beat.

I think that the main thing about playing against those type of players is trying to get them heads up to increase your winning chances, and then trying to use your best judgement to decide how far to go with them in any raising wars.

I dont think that shutting down against them when you are uncertain whether your hand is best or not is necessarily such a bad thing.
