wow, 45%. if that's over a significant sample it actually changes things for me. i was thinking 38-40ish most likely.

and fwiw, if i checked the flop and got HU with the lag i play it the exact same. it's funny i had JT in my head for some reason. not the spade, necessarily. nh, rico.

For what it's worth, I don't think I've ever played a hand this way, and it's almost certainly incorrect against most players.

In fact -- and this is an indictment of me, not the board -- if almost anyone else had posted this hand, I probably would've responded with something like "wtf? bet the flop" or simply not responded at all.

But Rico posts few hands, and the ones he does are always thought-provoking, so I decided to give it a little more thought. The application of this hand is far from universal, but it's a great demonstration of how cool this game can be.
