I have read about half of SSHE but reread that half a few times. I like to start over to get things ingrained.

my response after only having read the subject: No

edit: after having read your message: still No. Here's why: Even if one assumes that overcards comprise the limpers ranges, our hand has a high expectation preflop. Given what you said: 60% is against us. We are 40%. Then it goes like this: hero 40%, villain1 15%, villain2 10%, etc. That sounds pretty good to me. Now, given your read that these players are "maniacs" we can probably figure that hands like AT, A8, even A5 are probably less likely (not that we even remotely fear these). If these are loose players, they are simply playing poor cards. This is the most simple preflop raise to make. I would raise TT, and maybe even 99. What we do post-flop depends on our skill, what the board is, and how our opponents play.
