Btw, i've been meaning to ask this for months. What's an example of an 'emo' song these days? To my knowledge people aren't even making the kind of music that was originally considered emo, but don't quote me on that.

well the problem is that 'emo' bands always hated being called emo, but in general, the bands we were talking about in like 1998 when spin magazine first decided emo was the next big thing sound totally different from 'emo' bands today

'emo' bands today basically sound like pop punk bands that take zoloft and have periods

That's what i've heard but wasn't sure if i'd been hearing right. People would say 'emo' like fallout boy and i'd hear pop-punk. In fact I can't think of another band besides fallout boy mentioned. I'm out of the grid in this regard, somebody help me out.
