Im assuming high school then, for me it was worse as I had to fix this my first year of college. Been chatting with the chick beside me for a week or so, gonna see if she wants to grab coffee after class.

I've been in a similar spot. you definitely don't need drugs or anything.
in general: start w/ small stuff. short convos while ur standing in line somewhere, waiting for a class to start, etc. these situations will be free of any pressure, and let u build up confidence about starting up a conversation
