Re: Landlord Theorum
LOL minraise hijack
as for theorem, the example you gave was a pretty big overbet but very often, especially in an unraised pot, when someone bets over the pot on a board like this it is a draw. I have encountered this situation many, many times |

Re: Landlord Theorum
I would generally tend to think a bet like that represents a small flush, 2 pair, or a set more often than a draw. I guess it could be an overpair as well. It looks more like he is protecting against draws than betting for value.

Re: Landlord Theorum
I agree to an extent that such overbets often occur at micro and low limits. Indeed, a very transparent player will often overdonk a strong made hand in such a spot because he is so afraid of the draw. However, a smaller percentage of the time, a player will do the same thing with the Ac here. It doesnt apply in this case obviously as u have it. I like the idea, but I think it is also read dependent.

Uh, can somebody call the cops, my thread got hijacked...
I don't usually understand why donks do what they do, but I can't imagine overbetting the nut draw in this spot. Donks do some strange things!!! |

Re: Landlord Theorum
I usually lead w/ any flush just because of this and because players expect you to slowplay it.
