I covered a volleyball game last night where the team that rallied from down to games to win 3-2 had one girl — a 6-foot-3 middle hitter — had 36 of the team's 43 kills (successful spikes) and all 10 of its blocks. I go to talk to the coach about her carrying the team, and she said something like, "It was a great team effort ..."

Later she told me she's having to deal with the parents of the other girls who are upset the star girl gets more attention than their own daughters. I hate god damn parents.
