I really don't get most of the replies here.

The range of hands that this guy is cold calling preflop (and on the flop for that matter) that now have us beat is so narrow that I think folding here against even a reasonably aggressive opponent is actually pretty bad.

I'm interested to know what all of the people saying fold are putting this guy on. I honestly can't imagine folding here against a guy like this ever.

Also, why would we ever check this turn other than to c/r? This is a good turn card for us. He may think he's splitting a lot of the time and talk himself into calling with any A.

i fail to see the problem with the turn bet; hitting their odds nicely, and making it not too expensive to fold without

looking too weak and so letting them make you.

[/ QUOTE ]

it's bad because its transparent for the reasons you mentioned.

To add:

Checking the turn is incredibly results oriented. We obviously check the turn for the obvious reasons (to charge draws, get money from weaker aces, etc.)

The turn bet is a tad too small though and many villains will recognize it as potential a draw of our own or a weak ten (K10,Q10,KQ,KJ) more so than the hand we have.

In a way our hand is under-repped due to the basically half pot sized bet.

Therefore given that I think we are obligated to call here.

We lose to 3 obvious hands and probably only two (A10,AQ) (quads 3s).

I can't immediately hop on the 24/18 having a 3 bandwagon.

why can't villain have AT, TT, AK here? Is it bcuz TT is 3-betting? AT isn't always 3-betting, and AK can get CCd a lot here can't it?
